Abstract—The "IoT-Based Multipurpose Smart Car" is an advanced project designed to demonstrate the potential of IoT technologies in building intelligent and versatile vehicle prototypes. This system combines the capabilities of Arduino, ESP-32 CAM, and the L298N motor driver to create a car equipped with multiple features aimed at convenience, automation, and safety. The car can be controlled remotely using a smartphone via Bluetooth, offering user-friendly navigation and operation. Voice control functionality adds hands-free operation, making it highly efficient and accessible. To enhance its utility, the car includes a surveillance system powered by the ESP-32 CAM module, allowing real-time video streaming for remote monitoring, which is useful for security and exploration purposes. For automation, the system incorporates line-following technology using IR sensors, enabling the car to navigate predefined paths, making it suitable for applications like warehouse automation. Additionally, an object detection module ensures obstacle awareness, contributing to its safety and potential for autonomous operation. The project addresses technical challenges, such as multitasking conflicts caused by servo motor operations, by optimizing the system design to ensure reliable performance. This cost-effective solution has promising applications in areas such as home automation, surveillance, and logistics, showcasing the transformative impact of IoT in smart transportation systems.
