Abstract—Wave energy is a renewable energy source that harnesses the kinetic and potential energy of ocean waves to generate electricity. This renewable energy is part of the marine energy category, which includes energies such as tidal energy and ocean thermal energy. Wave energy is predominantly dependent on wind patterns and lunar gravitational forces, providing a consistent and predictable source of electricity. It produces minimal greenhouse gas emissions and has a lower environmental impact compared to fossil fuels, making it a cleaner and more sustainable energy source. Wave energy using Wave Turbine rotates around vertical axis only in single direction, which is then harnessed to generate electricity. To improve energy conversion efficiency, turbine with blades rotates as waves hits on it. In order to transform mechanical force into electrical power, a generator is then powered by this circular motion. with the help of big gear plate and small sprocket gear makes rotation at the generator more faster, making it an essential feature for the success of wave energy projects, particularly in nearshore areas with challenging maintenance and accessibility requirements. Overall, the utilization of wave energy presents a promising solution for achieving sustainable and reliable electricity generation.
