Terms and Conditions

1.Copyright Agreement

The International Scientific Journal of Engineering and Management (ISJEM) Copyright Agreement is a legal document that outlines the terms and conditions under which an author grants ISJEM the exclusive rights to publish and distribute their work.

These includes several key provisions that protect the rights of both the author and the journal. For example, the author grants ISJEM the exclusive right to publish and distribute the work in all forms and media, including print and electronic formats, in perpetuity. In return, the journal agrees to properly credit the author as the creator of the work and to not make any derogatory changes to the work.

This also includes representations and warranties from the author, stating that the work is original and does not infringe upon any copyright or any other rights of any third party, and that it has not been previously published or is not currently under consideration for publication by any other publisher.

Additionally, it includes an indemnification clause, in which the author agrees to indemnify and hold harmless ISJEM and its agents, employees, and assigns from and against any and all claims, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or in connection with any breach of the representations and warranties made by the author.

2.Grant of Rights to Authors

The International Scientific Journal of Engineering and Management (ISJEM) grants the following rights to authors of articles submitted and accepted for publication:

Attribution: ISJEM will credit the authors as the original creators of the work and will include their names and affiliations in the published article.

Reprints and reuses: authors retain the rights to reprint or reuse their work, as long as they give proper credit to ISJEM as the original publisher.

Non-exclusive license: authors grant ISJEM a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the work in all forms and media, including print and electronic formats, in perpetuity.

Right to Deposit to Repository: authors are allowed to deposit the final accepted version of their manuscript to institutional or disciplinary repositories, as long as they credit ISJEM as the original publisher, and link to the official published version in ISJEM website.

Patent and trademark rights: authors retain the rights to any patents and trademarks associated with their work.

Moral rights: authors retain the moral rights to the work, including the right to be identified as the author of the work and the right to object to any derogatory treatment of the work.

Termination of rights: authors have the right to request the termination of the rights granted to ISJEM, but it is important to note that ISJEM will not retract or remove the article from its website or archives once it is published.

Please note that the above rights are granted by ISJEM to authors who have submitted articles that have been accepted for publication. The rights may vary depending on the journal’s policies and authors should review the copyright agreement before submitting their work.

3.Warranties and Indemnifications

The International Scientific Journal of Engineering and Management (ISJEM) requires the following warranties and indemnifications from authors of articles submitted and accepted for publication:

Warranty of Originality: The authors warrant and represent that the work submitted is original and does not infringe upon any copyright or any other rights of any third party, and that it has not been previously published or is not currently under consideration for publication by any other publisher.

Warranty of Authorship: The authors warrant and represent that they are the sole author of the Work or, if the Work has multiple authors, that they have obtained the necessary permissions and releases from the co-authors.

Indemnification: The authors agree to indemnify and hold harmless ISJEM and its agents, employees, and assigns from and against any and all claims, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or in connection with any breach of the representations and warranties made by the authors in this Agreement.

Plagiarism: The authors warrant and represent that their work does not contain any form of plagiarism or academic dishonesty.

Permission for copyrighted material: The authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use any copyrighted material in the article, and for including appropriate citations and credits for such material.
