ABSTRACT
Zakat is one of the most important pillars of Islam and plays a significant role in promoting social justice and economic balance in society. It is a compulsory charitable contribution that Muslims must give annually to help the poor and needy. This review article examines the concept, significance, and social impact of Zakat in Islamic society based on existing literature and scholarly research. The study highlights how Zakat contributes to poverty reduction, wealth redistribution, and social welfare. The findings suggest that proper implementation of Zakat can help create a balanced and compassionate society where wealth is distributed fairly and the needs of disadvantaged groups are addressed.
