Abstract: The Contactless Water Tap Using IR Sensor is an automated system designed to improve hygiene and conserve water by eliminating the need for physical contact with taps. The system utilizes an infrared (IR) sensor to detect the presence of hands placed under the tap. When an object is detected within a predefined range, the IR sensor sends a signal to a control unit, typically a microcontroller, which activates a solenoid valve to allow water flow. Once the hands are removed, the sensor stops detecting the object, and the valve automatically closes, preventing unnecessary water wastage.
