ABSTRACT: The financial performance of public sector units (PSUs) listed in the NIFTY index plays a crucial role in shaping India’s economic stability and growth. This study focuses on selected PSUs, analyzing their financial efficiency, profitability, and market performance with specific reference to Angel One in Anantapuram as a case context. The research employs key financial ratios, comparative analysis, and trend evaluation to assess the operational strength and sustainability of these units. By examining liquidity, solvency, and profitability indicators, the study highlights the challenges faced by PSUs in a competitive market environment and their resilience in maintaining shareholder value. This research underscores the importance of continuous performance evaluation to ensure that PSUs remain competitive, transparent, and aligned with national economic objectives.
