Awareness on Usage of Digital Payment System: An Analytical study of Rohtak

Abstract
In digital era, Indian government has focused on various reforms for the promotion of digital payment tools to enhance cashless economic transactions in country. Indian government has started awareness programme regarding usage of various modes of digital payment like digital Digital Payment Awareness week organised by RBI, Financial and Digital Literacy programs by government of India, Sakshatra Abhiyan by Ministry of Human Resource Department. Government has framed various guidelines regarding authentication & safety and security features. With the usage of digital payment modes it becomes convenient for general public to do economic transactions without carrying cash. But usage of digital payment modes requires awareness among public regarding its benefits and safety measures. So researcher has conducted a study on awareness on usage of digital payment system. Study was conducted on women of Rohtak city. Responses are collected through a self structured questionnaire. A sample of 115 women was taken to find the awareness on usage of digital payment system. Convenient sampling technique has been used in the study. The awareness of women on usage of digital payment system has been analyzed across employment status and marital status of respondents by using ANOVA and t test at 5% level of significance. It was found that that there is significant difference in awareness on usage of digital payment system across variables taken on some aspects such as refund facilities and customer care & helpline services.
