ABSTRACT:
In today's knowledge-driven economy, employability has become a crucial component in determining both individual success and national growth. Rapid technological advancements, the industrial revolution, and globalization have fundamentally altered the nature of work, requiring a highly skilled and adaptable working force. This study aims to investigate the impact of training and skill-building programs on societal employability.
The study makes analytical use of both primary and secondary data. Primary data was collected from 256 respondents using structured questionnaires intended for students, job seekers, and individuals who had finished training programs. Numerous statistical methods, including percentage analysis, correlation, regression, and chi-square tests, were used to examine the relationship between training programs and employment results.
The results of the study indicate that training and skill development programs significantly improve technical competence, communication skills, and practical exposure—all of which are essential for improving work readiness. The study found that those who participate in formal training programs have more employment choices, greater flexibility, and higher levels of confidence. However, problems including poor awareness, limited accessibility, and a mismatch between training materials and corporate demands hinder these programs' effectiveness.
The study concludes that training and skill development initiatives are essential for reducing the skill gap and improving employability. It emphasizes the need for more collaboration between legislators, businesses, and academic institutions in order to offer training programs that are both practical and easily accessible. Maintaining employable in a changing work market is acknowledged to need lifelong learning and ongoing upskilling.
