ABSTRACT
The current study focuses on investigating the impact of participative leadership styles on Gen Z employees' willingness to share knowledge and develop skills. Participative leadership encourages employees to participate in decision-making processes and openly express their ideas and opinions at work. In today's dynamic organizational environment, knowledge sharing has become an essential element in improving employee learning, increasing productivity, and supporting overall organizational growth. This study aims to understand how participative leadership practices influence Generation Z employees to develop positive attitudes toward sharing knowledge with colleagues.
The research was conducted at Salcomp Manufacturing India Private Limited, Sriperumbudur, where Generation Z employees form an important part of the workforce. Primary data was collected using a structured questionnaire distributed through online survey methods. Additionally, secondary data on leadership styles and knowledge sharing were collected from journals, research papers, books, and websites to support the theoretical framework of the study. Statistical tools such as percentage analysis, chi-square test, correlation analysis, and Mann-Whitney U test were used to analyze the data. The findings indicate that participative leadership encourages employees to share knowledge, collaborate with colleagues, and improve their skills.
