Abstract:
Grievance handling plays a crucial role in maintaining industrial harmony and enhancing employee performance, particularly in labour-intensive industries such as apparel manufacturing. This study examines the effectiveness of grievance handling mechanisms and their impact on worker performance across selected textile organizations. A descriptive research design was adopted, and primary data were collected from 120 employees through structured questionnaires. Statistical tools such as percentage analysis, weighted average, correlation, chi-square, and ANOVA were applied using SPSS to analyse the data. The results indicate that effective grievance handling significantly improves productivity, reduces absenteeism, and enhances employee morale. The study also finds a strong positive relationship between grievance resolution and worker performance. Comparative analysis reveals that organizations with structured, transparent, and responsive grievance systems perform better in terms of employee satisfaction and operational efficiency. The study concludes that modern grievance handling systems are essential for sustaining workforce productivity and achieving organizational success in the apparel industry.
