Abstract
Significant decisions and adjustments that affect several sectors were made at the 50th and 51st GST Council Meetings of India, which took place on July 11 and August 2, 2023. These findings have wide-ranging implications for businesses operating in India, ranging from tax rate increases to exemptions and actions to support the implementation of the GST. Online gambling operators are concerned about the imposition of a 28 percent GST rate to gaming, horse racing, and casinos. Positively, the healthcare industry is excluded from import taxes on necessary drugs, which benefits business.
