ABSTRACT Access to safe drinking water remains a major challenge in many rural, remote, and disaster affected areas where electricity supply is limited or unavailable. The Development of a two-stage Solar Based Portable Water Purification Unit aims to provide an eco-friendly, cost-effective, and portable solution for producing clean drinking water using renewable solar energy. The system utilizes a solar panel to generate electrical power, which operates To utilize renewable solar energy as the main power source, reducing dependence on electricity or fuel. To make the system eco-friendly by minimizing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable technology. To ensure portability so that the unit can be easily carried and used in rural, remote, disaster- hit, or camping areas. To reduce operating costs by using free solar energy and low-maintenance purification methods. To develop an affordable solution for communities facing water scarcity and lack of electricity. To test the efficiency of the purification unit in terms of water quality, output capacity, and olar performance. To improve public health by supplying clean and hygienic drinking water in underserved regions. To encourage the use of green technology in water treatment and resource management. components such as a water pump, filtration unit and optional battery backup system. The purification process includes two stages such as sediment filtration to remove suspended particles, activated carbon filtration to eliminate odor and harmful chemicals. In some models, thermal heating using solar energy may also be used for additional disinfection. The purified water is then collected in a hygienic storage tank for safe consumption.
