Abstract - This project presents the design and implementation of fire-fighting robot using an Arduino Uno microcontroller and multiple sensor modules to detect and extinguish fire in indoor environments. The system integrates two flame sensors placed at the front of the robot for directional fire detection and an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor for obstacle measurement and path navigation. Motor movement is controlled through an L298N motor driver, enabling coordinated left–right wheel actuation for precise motion control. When a fire is detected, the Arduino activates a relay module that powers a submersible water pump, allowing the robot to spray water toward the flame. A 12V supply powers the motors and pump while logic-level control signals are handled by the Arduino, ensuring safe, stable operation.
The robot intelligently moves toward the fire source based on flame sensor input while avoiding obstacles using real-time distance feedback. Upon reaching optimal distance, the water pump automatically extinguishes the flame. The system demonstrates a low-cost, reliable, and scalable solution for small-scale fire suppression in homes, laboratories, warehouses, and educational institutions. Experimental results confirm effective flame detection, smooth navigation, and rapid fire suppression, demonstrating the practicality of robotic assistance in fire-safety applications.
