ABSTRACT
The Augmented Reality Navigation System for the Visually Impaired is an innovative solution developed to assist visually challenged individuals in navigating safely and independently. The system uses Augmented Reality (AR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), GPS, sensors, and computer vision technologies to detect obstacles, recognize surroundings, and provide real-time navigation guidance through audio instructions and vibration alerts. A smartphone camera or smart wearable device captures the environment, while the application processes the data to identify pathways, objects, and potential hazards. The system then guides the user using voice-based directions, enabling safer movement in both indoor and outdoor environments. This project aims to improve accessibility, mobility, confidence, and quality of life for visually impaired people by reducing their dependence on others during travel. The proposed solution is cost-effective, user-friendly, and capable of enhancing personal safety and navigation efficiency in daily life situations.
