Abstract
The management of diabetes requires frequent blood glucose monitoring, a process that remains tedious for many, particularly elderly or physically challenged patients. Traditional glucometer necessitate the manual handling of delicate test strips, which poses significant challenges regarding hygiene, usability, and the high risk of strip contamination. This research details the design and development of an Automatic Strip Dispenser integrated into a glucometer system. Featuring a compact, motorized mechanism, the device automatically delivers a single test strip upon user initiation, utilizing a microcontroller-coordinated system to ensure precision while maintaining an airtight environment to preserve strip integrity. This innovation enhances user convenience, reduces manual errors, and sets a new standard for user-friendly, cost-effective diabetic care devices.
