Abstract:
The rapid digitisation of human resource processes has resulted in the creation of automated tools to handle the huge number of applications for jobs. Traditional keyword-based Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) often miss the semantic context of professional experience, with high false-rejection rates and loss of qualified candidates. This project proposes an AI powered resume analyser and job-matching optimiser that aims to bridge this gap through advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP). Experiments on a diverse dataset of 1,000 resumes demonstrate that the proposed model achieves an F1-score of 0.88 in candidate matching, substantially outperforming legacy filtering methods. Also, the system is very efficient with an end-to-end execution latency of around 300 ms making it suitable for real-time high-volume recruitment environments.
