Abstract— the rapid advancement of information technology has completely changed the education system. In recent years, with the development of information technology, the entire education system is facing a change due to online examination management. This has led to increased interest in artificial intelligence among various sectors and has risen to conquer many fields. To keep the huge database employed, it is very difficult for the examining authorities to depend on this purely with the human effort and because of this, the AI-based automated test solution is a perfect approach in this regard. The AI-based exam automation system provides an effective online exam management system that improves efficiency and security in test administration by automating the process. The goal of the AI-based exam automation project is to create a simple test system that can automate the process of managing any type of online exam, such as exam creation, student authentication, answer evaluation, result generation, etc. This system is developed using React.js for the front end, FastAPI for the back end, and MongoDB as a database. The additional requirements are AI proctoring, which verifies the students' faces while taking the tests, and also verifies that they are actually taking the test without any note and copying from their mobile.The AI algorithms integrate semantic similarity and keyword matching to determine whether the solution given by the student is acceptable or not. The major challenges of this project are when connecting with MongoDB, API integration, JWT token (JSON web token) authorization, and CORS (cross-origin resource sharing) issues.
