Abstract
Fly by wireless is a system which eliminates the wires and mechanical linkages to the flight control surfaces. It is a system instead uses advance wireless & Bluetooth systems to operate flight control surfaces to control the attitude orientation and direction of aircraft.
The system reduces the weight of the system significantly, the weight savings further translate into measure of efficiency. Another benefit of FBW system involve reduced maintenance of bulky and tedious wires and mechanical linkages.
Through the years of service fly by wire harnesses has developed maintenance issues with connectors corrosion broken wires etc every connection becomes the potential point of failure removing the wires from flight control network or removing the nom of associated wires save maintenance cost over the life of aircraft.
Design and Implementation of an IoT-Based Wireless Aircraft Control Surface Mimic System Using ESP32 and Blynk Framework Abstract. This paper presents the design, development, and implementation of a wireless aircraft control surface mimic system engineered to replicate primary flight dynamics (roll, pitch, and yaw). The proposed system mitigates the constraints by utilizing an Internet of Things (IoT) architecture. An ESP32 microcontroller serves as the edge gateway, integrating embedded Wi-Fi functionality to receive control inputs directly from a customized human-machine interface (HMI) built on the Blynk mobile application. The microcontroller processes incoming network payloads to generate synchronized Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signals across a four-axis servo motor array representing twin ailerons, an elevator, and a rudder. Empirical results indicate reliable actuation with minimal latency, validating the system as a scalable prototype for next-generation wireless embedded actuation and educational flight control simulators.
