INTRODUCTION
1.1 Introduction to Distribution Transformer
A distribution transformer is a static device used to reduce the primary voltage of the electrical power distribution system to the utilization voltage serving the customer by electromagnetic induction from one circuit to another at the same frequency.
Losses in Transformer
When power is supplied to the primary of transformer, some portion of that power is lost as Hysteresis loss and Eddy Current loss in the transformer core and some portion of the input power is lost as I2R loss and dissipated as heat in the primary and secondary winding
