Traditional Games and Physical Health: An Analytical Study of the Reang Tribe of Tripura

Abstract
Indigenous games and sports were played a vital role to promote the social exposure of the cultural group or Tribe. Those games and sports were significantly developed the fitness level to prevent diseases and live with full pleasure of different cultural group. The Reang Tribe count as an ancient community of Tripura’s Tribal family. They had played different Indigenous games and sports and the researcher would try to find out the inherent aim of those games and sports in the light of physical education culture. To collect the data for that study the researcher had gone through different literature review, took interview from old aged people of Reang community, take part in different social and cultural festival of that community. The result showed a tremendous knowledge over the physical wellbeing of that community people by their traditional games and sports. Those games and sports were just a medium of physical activity to developed physical wellbeing and healthful living.
