Abstract—This paper presents an autonomous mobile robot equipped with an integrated manipulator to counter the ineffi-ciencies, high costs, and health risks of manual waste sorting in public spaces. The engineering architecture combines au-tonomous navigation, computer vision, deep learning, and multi-axis motion control into a single vehicular platform. Onboard imaging systems utilize deep neural networks to identify and classify recyclables like polymers, metals, and paper. Upon detection, the system computes spatial coordinates, directing a robotic arm to execute a pick-and-place sequence into internal containment bins. Navigational sensors ensure safe, obstacle-free transit, maintaining high accuracy under fluctuating environmen-tal conditions.
