ABSTRACT
The Quick Commerce (Q-Commerce) industry has emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments of the retail and e-commerce ecosystem in India. The sector is characterized by rapid delivery services, usually within 10–30 minutes, catering to the increasing demand for convenience among urban consumers. The growth of smartphone usage, internet penetration, digital payments, and changing consumer lifestyles has significantly accelerated the adoption of quick commerce services.
Despite substantial growth opportunities, the industry faces several challenges related to seasonal demand fluctuations, inventory management, working capital requirements, and profitability. Seasonal events such as festivals, holidays, climatic conditions, and promotional campaigns have a significant impact on revenue generation and operational efficiency.
This study examines the influence of seasonal variations on revenue and working capital management within the Indian quick commerce industry. The research relies on secondary data collected from industry reports, academic journals, market research publications, and financial statements of major industry players. Analytical tools such as trend analysis, ratio analysis, comparative analysis, and percentage analysis have been utilized to evaluate industry performance.
The findings indicate that seasonal demand significantly affects revenue generation, inventory levels, cash flow management, and profitability. The study further reveals that effective demand forecasting, dynamic pricing strategies, technology adoption, and efficient working capital management are essential for sustaining profitability and long-term growth in the quick commerce industry.
