Abstract - A bandgap reference circuit is an essential analog building block used to generate a stable reference voltage that remains nearly constant despite changes in temperature and supply voltage. Such reference circuits are widely employed in voltage regulators, analog-to-digital converters, battery management systems, and mixed-signal integrated circuits. This work presents the design and simulation of a temperature-compensated bandgap reference circuit using LTspice. The proposed circuit combines the complementary temperature characteristics of bipolar junction transistors to produce a nearly constant output reference voltage. Standard discrete transistor models (2N3904 and 2N3906) along with passive resistors are utilized to implement the design. Temperature analysis is carried out over a range from −40°C to 125°C to evaluate circuit stability. Simulation results demonstrate that the reference voltage exhibits minimal variation throughout the tested temperature range, confirming the effectiveness of the compensation technique. The proposed design provides a simple, low-cost, and educational implementation suitable for learning analog integrated circuit concepts.
