Abstract: The Smart Expense Tracker is a web-based application developed using Flask to help users efficiently manage their daily income and expenses. The system provides secure user authentication, allowing each user to maintain a personalized financial record. Users can add, edit, delete, and categorize their expenses for better financial organization. An interactive dashboard displays total expenses and category-wise spending through graphical charts and reports. The application stores data securely using an SQLite database and provides a responsive, user-friendly interface built with Bootstrap. By monitoring spending patterns, the system helps users make informed financial decisions and improve budgeting habits. The project demonstrates the practical use of Python, Flask, SQL Alchemy, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap in developing a modern personal finance management system.
