Abstract
Smart Ride Connect Transit is a bus ticket booking application created for Windows systems using C# and Windows Forms. The software is designed to make the reservation process easier and more convenient by replacing manual ticket booking methods with a digital system. In many transport offices, maintaining reservation details manually can take more time and may cause mistakes in ticket management. This application helps overcome those difficulties by providing an organized and automated platform.
The system allows users to access the application through a secure login page. After entering the required journey information, passengers can select travel locations and reserve seats without complicated procedures. The software instantly prepares the booking details and calculates the ticket amount automatically, making the process faster and more accurate.
Several safety and validation features are included to improve system performance. The application checks whether the entered information is correct and prevents incomplete data submission. Password protection and error-handling methods are also used to improve security and maintain smooth operation.
The ticket generated by the system contains important travel information such as passenger name, route details, number of seats, date of booking, and total fare. The overall system reduces paperwork and helps maintain booking records in a simpler way.
This project demonstrates how desktop applications can be developed using the .NET environment and C# programming concepts. In future versions, the application can be expanded with features like online transactions, database storage, real-time seat tracking, and mobile access support. The project provides an efficient and user-friendly approach for handling bus reservation activities digitally.
