Abstract:
The study examined how demographic and socio-economic variables influence consumer spending patterns in digital marketplaces. A descriptive approach was adopted to capture existing behaviors and perceptions without manipulating variables. The research was carried out in Rohtak district of Haryana, targeting consumers actively engaged in online shopping. A sample size of 100 respondents was selected using the purposive sampling technique, ensuring that participants represented the target population of online consumers. Primary data collection was employed through structured questionnaires, focusing on income, education, occupation, and lifestyle factors. The data were analyzed using ANOVA, which tested the significance of socio-economic differences in online consumption behavior. The findings revealed that income levels, educational attainment, and occupational status significantly influenced online spending patterns, while lifestyle preferences moderated the intensity of digital purchases.
