A Comparative Analysis of Customer Preferences in Fuel Types: Insights from Nayara Energy Limited

ABSTRACT
This study analyzes customer preferences for different fuel types with special reference to Nayara Energy Limited. The objective is to identify the factors influencing fuel selection, compare customer satisfaction levels, and assess awareness regarding fuel quality and alternative fuels. Primary data were collected from 100 respondents using a structured questionnaire through convenience sampling. Percentage analysis and frequency distribution were used for data interpretation. The findings indicate that petrol remains the most preferred fuel type among respondents, while mileage, fuel price, and fuel availability are the primary factors influencing fuel selection. The study also reveals growing awareness of BS6 fuel standards and increasing willingness among consumers to adopt alternative fuels such as CNG and electric vehicles. The research concludes that Nayara Energy can strengthen customer satisfaction and loyalty by focusing on fuel quality, customer service, awareness programs, and sustainable energy initiatives.
