Abstract:
The quick expansion of information technology and internet usage in the digital age has greatly increased susceptibility to cyber threats. The study, "A Study on Cyber Threat Trend Analysis Using Historical Data in Defend Shield Cyber Security," looks at the progression of cyber threats over a five-year period, from 2021 to 2025, using historical data. Using quantitative techniques to examine patterns and correlations between major variables like the kind of cyber threat, the frequency of attacks, the response time, and the severity levels, the study takes a descriptive and analytical approach. The study relies on secondary data obtained from reputable cybersecurity sources and internal organizational documents. According to the analysis, cyberattacks have significantly increased throughout the years, with phishing, malware, and ransomware identified as the most common forms. Sectors like information technology, banking, and e-commerce have been severely affected by these dangers. Additionally, the results highlight the crucial role of timely response in minimizing potential damage by showing a strong link between effective threat detection systems and successful prevention methods.
