Abstract
Derivatives trading has become one of the most dynamic segments of the Indian financial market by providing investors with opportunities for risk management, speculation, portfolio diversification, and price discovery. This study examines derivatives trading in India with reference to Angel One, Hyderabad, by analysing investor awareness, participation, trading behaviour, and perceptions of derivative instruments such as futures and options. The research is based on primary and secondary data collected from 100 investors. The findings indicate that investor awareness, market knowledge, risk perception, trading experience, and broking support significantly influence participation in derivatives trading and contribute to improved investment decision-making.
