Abstract
The implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) has significantly transformed India's indirect taxation system by replacing multiple indirect taxes with a unified tax structure. This study examines the impact of GST on the hotel, tourism, and travel industries in the Hyderabad region by analysing its influence on pricing, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, service quality, tax compliance, and business performance. A descriptive research design was adopted using both primary and secondary data collected from 100 respondents through a structured questionnaire. For analytical purposes, Independent Sample t-Test was applied to compare customer satisfaction levels before and after GST implementation. The findings indicate that GST has simplified taxation, improved transparency, strengthened operational efficiency, enhanced billing practices, and positively influenced customer satisfaction and business performance in the Hyderabad hospitality and tourism sector. The study concludes that GST has become an important reform supporting the sustainable growth and competitiveness of tourism-related businesses in Hyderabad.
