Abstract
This study examines the effectiveness of skill development programs and their impact on employee career growth. The analysis is based on both primary and secondary data, where primary data was collected through a structured questionnaire from employees and secondary data was gathered from journals and previous research studies. The study focuses on understanding how training programs influence employee skills, performance, and career advancement. Statistical tools such as simple percentage analysis, Mann–Whitney U test, and correlation analysis are used to evaluate the relationship between competency, confidence, and career growth outcomes. The results show that employees who participate in skill development programs experience improvement in their competency and confidence levels. The correlation analysis indicates a moderate positive relationship between competency and confidence, supporting the role of training in enhancing employee capabilities. The Mann–Whitney U test reveals that there is no significant difference in career growth support between male and female employees, indicating fairness in organizational practices. Although a portion of employees expressed satisfaction, a notable percentage remained neutral, highlighting scope for improvement in career growth support. The study concludes that skill development programs play a vital role in improving employee performance, enhancing confidence, and supporting career growth. It also emphasizes the need for organizations to continuously evaluate and improve training programs to achieve better outcomes.
