ABSTRACT
Employee performance is an important determinant of organizational productivity, effectiveness, and competitiveness. Personality traits influence employees’ behavior, communication, adaptability, teamwork, emotional responses, and work habits. This study examines the role of personality traits in employee performance at Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), Hyderabad. The study focuses on conscientiousness, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and emotional stability and their perceived influence on workplace performance. Primary data were collected from 100 ECIL employees through a structured questionnaire. The findings indicate that responsibility, adaptability, communication, emotional stability, and cooperation are positively associated with perceived employee performance. The study also highlights the usefulness of personality assessment for employee development and HR practices.
