ABSTRACT:
This research investigates the influence of social media on the job search behaviour of graduates in the Palakkad district. In the age of digital transformation, social media platforms have become important tools that affect how graduates look for jobs, talk to recruiters, and make professional connections. The study aims to comprehend the degree to which graduates depend on social media platforms, including LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, for employment-related activities.
The study looks at important factors like how often people use social media, how aware they are of it, what platforms they prefer, and the problems they face when looking for jobs online. It also looks at how social media can help people get jobs by letting them network, share information, and build their own brands. The study also points out problems that could make it hard to use effectively, like fake job postings, not knowing how to use technology, and worries about privacy.
The study's results show that social media is a big help for graduates who want to find jobs, learn about job openings, and be more proactive in their job search. The study finds that social media is now an important part of modern job search strategies and offers suggestions for how to use it more effectively to get better job results.
