ABSTRACT:
Workplace stress and burnout have emerged as a significant concern in the contemporary organizational scenario, especially in the field of Information Technology (IT) where employees are often subjected to high workload, deadlines, and working hours. This study aims to investigate the relationship between workplace stress, burnout, and career growth among IT employees in Coimbatore district. This research is in line with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3): Good Health and Well-being, which recognizes the significance of mental health in the workplace. This research is descriptive in nature, and primary data was collected from 340 IT employees in Coimbatore district using a structured questionnaire. Statistical methods such as correlation and regression analysis were employed to analyze the relationships between variables. The findings of this study revealed that workplace stress and burnout have a negative impact on career growth among IT employees in Coimbatore district. It was also evident from this study that burnout had a greater impact on career growth compared to workplace stress. This study emphasized the significance of initiating strategies to reduce employee stress and burnout to enhance career growth among IT employees in Coimbatore district.
