Abstract—This project’s goal is to design and build an E-commerce website for arts and crafts. The website will serve as a platform for artisans and craftspeople to promote and sell their one-of-a-kind handmade goods to a global audience. The project will focus on creating a user-friendly and visually appealing website that effectively showcases the products and allows for easy navigation and secure online transactions. The website will also include features such as personalized product recommendations and streamlined checkout processes to improve the buying and selling experience. The methods used in this project will include user research, design, and development. The user research will involves surveys of artisans and craftsmen to understand their needs and challenges in an online environment, and with potential customers to understand their preferences and expectations for an arts and crafts ecommerce website. The design and development phase will involve creating wireframes and mockups, and then implementing the website using a suitable technology such as React, Node and Express JS, and integrating it with a payment gateway and other features. The expected outcome of this project is a fully-functional ecommerce website that effectively promotes and sells the unique handmade goods of artisans and craftsmen. The website will provide a platform for these creators to reach a global customer base, and will improve the buying and selling experience through the use of technology. Additionally, the website will be an important step in promoting and preserving traditional and cultural handicrafts and skills.
