Abstract—Road accidents are one of the major causes of death and severe injuries across the world. In many accident cases, victims lose their lives due to delayed emergency response, lack of immediate accident reporting, and unavailability of accurate accident location information. This paper presents an Automatic Accident Detection and Ambulance Rescue System using In- ternet of Things, embedded sensors, GPS, GSM, and mobile monitoring technologies. The proposed system detects accidents automatically using vibration and motion sensors connected to a microcontroller. After accident detection, the GPS module captures the exact latitude and longitude of the accident location. The GSM module sends an emergency alert message containing location details to emergency contacts, hospitals, or rescue au- thorities. The system also supports IoT-based monitoring using a mobile application. The main objective of the system is to reduce ambulance response time, improve emergency communication, and increase the survival chances of accident victims.
