Abstract:Mental illness arises from a complex interplay of genetic, physiological, neurobiological, and environmental factors that significantly affect an individual's behavior and daily functioning. Although Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has shown strong effectiveness in treating developmental disorders such as autism, its application in broader mental health conditions remains limited. This limitation is mainly due to the gap between subjective psychiatric terminology and the objective, observable framework of behavior analysis. This project focuses on bridging this gap by proposing methods to convert subjective psychological conditions into measurable behavioral patterns. By emphasizing operational definitions and data-driven approaches, the study aims to expand the application of ABA and achieve more effective and scientifically grounded mental health interventions.
