ABSTRACT
This conceptual paper explores the challenges and opportunities of Electronic Human Resource Management (E-HRM) in hybrid work environments within Indian private sector banks. As the banking industry increasingly adopts hybrid models blending remote and in-office work, E-HRM systems have become critical for managing HR functions efficiently and effectively. The paper reviews the evolution of E-HRM from basic digital automation to advanced AI-driven platforms, highlighting key phases of adoption in private banks. It analyses challenges including technological integration, data security, employee resistance, and compliance complexities, alongside opportunities such as enhanced talent acquisition, data-driven decision-making, operational efficiency, and improved employee experience. The study proposes a conceptual framework linking E-HRM capabilities with hybrid work dynamics to optimize organizational performance.
