Abstract- The effectiveness of contemporary manufacturing operations depends on the timely and precise monitoring of shipments, particularly for sub-items received from various suppliers. For enabling just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing and multi-shift production schedules, real-time visibility into the status of supplier shipments is essential. This paper introduces a new method for implementing acknowledgment mechanisms in portal hubs to monitor the lifecycle of shipments—from dispatch by the supplier to arrival prior to the scheduled manufacturing shift. The system utilizes automated supplier acknowledgments, embedded tracking updates, and predictive analytics to guarantee continuous supply chain continuity. Acknowledgment mechanisms act as checkpoints within the portal hub environment, validating shipment readiness, transit milestones, and projected delivery windows. Additionally, real-time notifications and exception handling mechanisms enable supply chain managers to deal with possible delays ahead of time. The solution was deployed in a batch manufacturing process with high dependency on serialized parts and dynamic scheduling. The key performance indicators (KPIs) of on-time delivery rate, recognition accuracy, and disruption resolution time were applied in measuring the success of the system. The findings reflect a 27% improvement of predictability of supplies and a 34% decrease in missed production shifts for late sub-items. This study adds to the body of literature on digital transformation of supply chains and provides an actionable model for manufacturers looking to enhance manufacturing efficiency using smart tracking and confirmation processes.
