Abstract - The present study aims to evaluate and compare the seismic performance of RC framed buildings with multiple vertical setbacks against that of regular buildings of identical floor area and height. The analysis is conducted using the Response Spectrum Method (RSM) as specified in IS 1893:2016 (Part 1), with ETABS software employed for modeling and simulation. Key seismic response parameters—lateral displacement, storey drift, and base shear—are extracted for both regular and irregular models across different seismic zones of India.
Key Words: R.c framed buildings, Vertical Multiple set back Frame, Seismic Performance, Response spectrum Analysis.
