Abstract
With metabolic disorders on the rise in almost every corner of the globe, it has become critically important to have robust tools on your smartphone to assist you with dietary planning. The challenge that is facing people in India is that although mobile technology use is ubiquitous, most of the modern health apps available are created for people with Western eating habits. Therefore, they are virtually useless for most Indians. This paper presents a novel approach and technology to solve these problems by using a combination of MERN and Python to create a logic engine that will compare the metabolic needs of a user to a database of more than 5,000 food items in their area. The system’s algorithms consider factors like the user’s health, nutritional needs, local food availability, strict economic limits, and regional dietary laws to generate useful meal plans.
