Abstract — Fuel theft is a major issue in heavy vehicles such as trucks, tankers, and buses, causing significant financial loss to transport companies. Traditional fuel monitoring systems only measure fuel levels and cannot prevent unauthorized fuel extraction. This paper proposes an IoT-based fuel theft protection system that integrates live GPS tracking, OTP-based fuel cap locking, and real-time mobile application alerts. The system ensures fuel security by allowing fuel cap access only through OTP verification and continuously monitoring vehicle location and fuel level. Any unauthorized access attempt triggers instant alerts to the vehicle owner via a mobile application. This solution improves fuel security, reduces theft, and enhances fleet management efficiency.
