Abstract: The global electric vehicle (EV) industry is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by governmental initiatives, shifting consumer preferences, and technological advancements. This study focuses on India, a country with ambitious EV adoption targets and a distinctive socio-economic landscape. Leveraging social media data, the research analyses Indian consumers' concerns towards EVs, providing crucial insights into market dynamics and factors influencing EV uptake. The narrative emphasizes the environmental benefits of electric cars, including reduced carbon emissions and eligibility for government subsidies. The convenience of home charging, lower electricity costs, and minimal maintenance expenses are highlighted as additional advantages. Addressing air pollution and global warming concerns, the study underscores the pivotal role of EVs in mitigating environmental impact. With governments globally indicating a shift away from traditional fuel-powered vehicles, this research positions electric cars as the future of transportation, advocating for their adoption to combat climate change and foster sustainable mobility.
