Abstract — In rapidly urbanizing cities, road traffic accidents and fire crises are important causes of avoidable fatalities, where outcomes are greatly worsened by delayed identification and response. The design and implementation of an IoT-enabled fire and accident detection system for smart-city applications are presented in this study. Real-time detection of abnormal vehicle conditions and fire occurrences by the system can result in rapid local alerts and remote messages to specific users. In order to reduce additional risk and harm, it also starts preventive measures as soon as it is detected. The system is built to function consistently and dependably in real-world circumstances. The system's promise as an affordable, scalable, and effective safety solution for improving emergency response and lowering mortality in contemporary urban areas is shown by experimental findings that show efficient real-time detection and timely communication.
