Abstract- This project focuses on the simulation of a Pulse-Doppler radar system for simultaneous estimation of target range and velocity. The radar model includes pulse transmission, echo reception, and Doppler frequency shift to represent real radar operation. Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) techniques are used to generate Range–Doppler maps for joint range and velocity analysis. The performance of the radar system is evaluated using the Radar Equation and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) calculations. The effect of target motion and radar parameters on estimation accuracy is also analyzed. The proposed MATLAB- based simulation provides a clear and effective platform for understanding Pulse-Doppler radar principles and detection performance.
