This research paper explores and compares the risk management practices adopted by selected private and public sector banks, focusing on key risk categories. Through case studies, data analysis, and comparative evaluation, the paper highlights the effectiveness, challenges, and innovations in risk management practices. The findings reveal significant differences in risk appetite, technological adoption, and regulatory compliance between selected private and public banks. The paper concludes with recommendations to enhance risk resilience, emphasizing the need for a proactive and integrated risk management framework across the banking industry.
