Abstract: The Secure Online Voting System Using Python is a web-based application developed to provide a secure, reliable, and transparent electronic voting platform. Traditional voting methods involve manual processes that require significant time, manpower, and resources while being susceptible to human errors and fraudulent activities. The proposed system overcomes these limitations by allowing eligible voters to register, authenticate their identity, and cast their votes securely through an online platform. The application is developed using Python Flask, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
The system implements secure user authentication, encrypted password storage, one-time voting restrictions, and real-time vote counting to ensure fairness and transparency throughout the election process. An administrator manages voter registration, candidate details, election schedules, and result generation. The database securely stores voter information, candidate details, and voting records while preventing duplicate voting.
The proposed system improves election efficiency, minimizes manual errors, reduces operational costs, and provides accurate election results within seconds after voting concludes. This project demonstrates how modern web technologies can be utilized to build a scalable and trustworthy online voting platform suitable for educational institutions, organizations, and local government elections.
