Abstract
As India moves toward becoming a digitally empowered society, libraries must transform into dynamic, technology-driven knowledge hubs to support this evolution. This article explores the concept of smart libraries and examines how integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Data Analytics can revolutionize library services in India. These technologies facilitate personalized user experiences, efficient resource management, and data-driven decision-making. Although India faces challenges such as infrastructure gaps and digital literacy barriers, initiatives like Digital India and the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) provide a promising foundation. By adopting smart technologies, libraries can become inclusive, accessible, and responsive institutions—crucial to building an informed, innovative, and smart nation.
