ABSTRACT
The contemporary global landscape is grappling with an unprecedented environmental crisis driven by the proliferation of traditional, petroleum-based plastics. As the world’s third-largest consumer of plastics, India faces a significant challenge, consuming approximately 4 million tons of plastic annually, with nearly half resulting in non-biodegradable waste. While plastics provide indispensable functionality in modern industry, their "immortality" in the ecosystem characterized by persistence in landfills and the leaching of toxic chemicals demands a radical shift in material science. This research proposes the development and implementation of Eco-Pure Bioplastics, a sustainable alternative derived from renewable biomass sources, including plant starches, sugarcane, and microorganisms.
