Abstract:

Human beings are always changing, and over time their thoughts and perspectives continue to advance. In the present through the use of modern technology, humans have reached the highest levels of development. Modern technology is both a blessing and a curse for people.  Almost everyone from children to adults is connected to social media in one way or another. Therefore, understanding the impact of social media on mental health is extremely important. This paper examines the positive and negative effects of social media. It analyzes how social media influences our mental well-being on a daily basis. Social media can increase connectivity, boost self-esteem, and provide educational resources. It can also promote creativity and help in the development of various skills. However, excessive use of social media can lead to loneliness, physical problems, addiction, anxiety, and other mental health issues. This research paper also discusses various strategies to reduce the negative effects of social media.
